We remember with reverence the souls of our noble martyrs who left us in the tragedy of the earthquake of 8 September 2023, and our hearts go out to our people in the affected areas.

The ordeal was great, but it revealed the true character of this nation, as everyone rallied together in an unprecedented display of national and humanitarian solidarity.

We extend our gratitude and thanks to all those who lent a helping hand, from the rescue teams and civil protection forces to the public authorities, civil society, friendly countries, and every member of the Moroccan people who demonstrated the highest values of solidarity and sacrifice.

We would also like to thank the benefactors who supported the Foundation’s efforts financially and in kind, and all the volunteers who contributed on the ground to alleviating the suffering of our afflicted brothers and sisters.

What we have witnessed in terms of solidarity is not just a memory, but a foundation for our future work. The Basma Foundation for Social Development is proud to be an active part of these efforts, and we promise to continue the journey, because solidarity was not just a response, but a foundation on which to build projects of giving and hope.
