Manabi” Program: Installation of a New Water Well in Amskroud Commune, Agadir Province

The Basma Foundation for Social Development successfully completed the drilling and equipment installation of a new water well at the end of last June in Douar Wikrane, located in the Amskroud Commune of Agadir Province.

This vital project, part of the foundation’s “Manabi” development program, aims to secure clean drinking and ablution water for the local mosque and its surrounding facilities.

This water project provides a sustainable solution to meet the basic water needs of three primary groups within the village. It guarantees a permanent source of clean water for worshippers for ablution and purification throughout the day. Additionally, it secures pure drinking water for the students of the mosque’s Quranic school (Kouttab) to support them in memorizing the Holy Quran under proper conditions, while also covering the daily water needs of the Imam’s residence to ensure his stability and facilitate his living conditions.

The achievement in Douar Wikrane serves as an ongoing charity (Sadaka Jariya) and was carried out with the direct and generous support of the foundation’s loyal partners. It aligns with the strategic vision of the “Manabi” program, which continues to target rural and remote areas most in need, striving to reduce regional disparities, address water scarcity, and support the social and environmental stability of these communities.

In this context, the management of the Basma Foundation for Social Development extends its deepest gratitude and appreciation to all donors and partners who contributed their resources and efforts to finance and complete this developmental initiative.
