On Friday, the 16th of Ramadan, the Basma Foundation for Social Development hosted a Ramadan Iftar at its headquarters in Rabat to honor its supporters and members. This gathering served as a practical expression of the culture of recognition and appreciation for the pivotal role played by partners, members, and volunteers in promoting and implementing the foundation’s programs and projects.
The gathering was more than just a traditional Ramadan meal; it was a strategic milestone aimed at strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and consolidating the values of collective developmental work. Through this initiative, the foundation seeks to transform its partners from mere supporters into “ambassadors” who carry its vision and humanitarian mission.

The foundation was also honored by the presence of Dr. Hassan al-Gharbi, who praised Basma’s contributions to sustainable social development. He echoed previous speakers by emphasizing the spiritual rewards and the long-term impact on beneficiaries when supporting this vital sector.
Documenting Impact and Fieldwork
The event included the screening of a documentary showcasing the foundation’s interventions under the campaign “Like One Body” .This campaign, part of the Sanad Relief Program, provided essential support to flood victims in the Gharband Ksar El Kebir regions. Additionally, an institutional video was presented to introduce the foundation’s various developmental programs.
The evening was enriched by soulful Quranic recitations and Ramadan chants performed by the reciter Hassan al-Soussi.
A Token of Gratitude
The meeting concluded with the foundation affirming that this Iftar is a “token of gratitude” to all supporters who contribute to creating a sustainable impact. It extended an invitation to all attendees to serve as permanent ambassadors for the culture of social developmental work.
